Relationships are Life and why I use Gist, everyday.
Connections change lives.
Connectors make them happen.
Would you consider yourself a connector?
Many people often say it is all about who you know. I think it is more about who CAN you know and HOW you know them. It is the difference between the past and the future. The people you meet today will be the people who will help you get to where you are going tomorrow and introduce you to more people that you never expected to meet. The secret is building relationships and bridges before you ever need them. If you wait until you need them it is usually to late. Who can you introduce today?
With that, here is why I, Shane Mac, use Gist everyday and it is not just because I work here. I’ll show you the one feature that everyday is my lifeblood. The Dossier. Before any meeting, any call or any email I have with an important contact I always check the Dossier to get the Gist of what they have been up to and who they know who I may know. I look for a common ground. The secret to networking. Here are my screenshots.
When in the people view click ‘View Dossier.’
You instantly get an individual’s contact info, meetings with you, recent news, recent tweets, feed updates, status updates, people you both know and are connected to along with all of your email, attachments and links from the past 90 days. Ya, it’s awesome.
Like I said, it is my lifeline and you should look at it before you meet with anyone, everytime.
The best part? It is all generated automatically by syncing with your calendar, email, and any other places where your contacts already live. You just connect your accounts and let us do the work.
We would love you to try out Gist here.
With so many people, so many networks, so many emails and all these different forms of communication it is hard to keep track of what everyone is doing. That is why we created Gist. We arrange people by importance and bring all of your networks, email, and calendars into one centralized place prioritized automatically by who you talk too or meet with the most. Try out Gist here.
