I’ll never forget what’s-her-name…
The funny thing about this video is that it actually happened in real life. The first day that I, Shane, met Jen at a coffee shop it actually played out exactly like the video shows. I probably wouldn’t have made a fool of myself if I would of had a Gist account along with the Learn That Name game. Instead I only had her twitter name, email address, and 30×30 picture, and well, we know how that turned out.
When we meet so many people through online channels these days it is important to put a face to the name and know more about the people you will be meeting with. You really don’t want to end up like me and trying to dig yourself out of a hole when you meet Jen and call her Julie.
I’m looking for some horror stories in the comments so I don’t feel like the only person who has done this before. Have any of you ever had a really bad or awkward experience because you forgot someone’s name?

With so many people, so many networks, so many emails and all these different forms of communication it is hard to keep track of what everyone is doing. That is why we created Gist. We arrange people by importance and bring all of your networks, email, and calendars into one centralized place prioritized automatically by who you talk too or meet with the most. We would love you to try out Gist here.
