We’re excited to announce that we’ve added Learn that Name to Gist. Created in 2009 by weekend entrepreneurs with diverse backgrounds at Startup Weekend in Redmond, WA, Learn that Name helps you learn more about your professional network by matching a picture with a name. By helping you learn more about the people in your inbox and across various social networks and address books, you’ll never forget a name or face again.
What is Learn that Name?
Learn that Name is a fun game you play on your iPhone to review photos of people in your network and quiz yourself on their names and organizations. Originally, Learn That Name connected to your LinkedIn account and now spans your email and social networking contacts including Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn as well as CRM-type applications.
Simply tap the screen to identify the person you’re viewing and match that person to a name – the faster you do it, the more points you earn. Tap the wrong person and you’ll lose a few points. You also get the option to answer a bonus question and identify the organization where your Gist contact works. At the end of the game, Learn that Name tallies your points and tells you how you did — whether you’ve reached the top level of “master networker” or any one of the other levels — and gives you an option to reach out to the contacts you identified in the game.
